Hello.  Here are the tabs for the solo in "Life Goes On".  It's pretty
basic but it sounds really good.  Just as Johnny (Marr) said, you should
always be able to whistle a good solo.  By the way, "Life Goes On" is
wonderful and you should buy "Cry" disk 2 no matter what the cost.  It's
worth it.  It's a British country song.

sounds pretty close overall.  I'm really bad at figuring out other
people's songs so use my structure and if you find any mistakes, let me

aloha!
    about the mail from mark newman - the lyrics - i think i agree 
with all of them except, the first line of the chorus, i thought was:
'so do fou feed yourself with pills'
and in the last run of the chorus, after the solo, the third line 
doesn't sound quite right. when i listen to it, it sounds like she's 
saying something else instead of love - something that ends with a -d 
sound. having said that, i cant offer any alternatives and love does 
make sense and is in the previous chorus'
and lastly, i thought she said:
'and i can grow a pair of wings...'

please understand, i'm not slagging off mark - its helped me a lot as 
i was unsure on several bits myself - i just thought i'd offer what i 
thouught some of the bits are - i'm most likely wrong!!

and about the tab for rhythm and lead guitar - i've got a file with 
it on - this is it but it hasn't copied over v well. oh well  - again 
this is just what i think it is, and i'm not sure about the bits at 
the 4th and 8th bars of the solos - you know the bits!

I got some help from another list guitarist (which is almost fun to say)
and I'm pretty confident about all but one chord.  It's somewhere
between Dm and Dmin6.  I just can't find the right note.  It sounds like
David's high E string is tuned down a half step for that one note or
something (then you'd play a Dm).

Having spent absolutely ages last night, I have finally come up with
the lead bit for the last chorus. Most of the B string, fret 1 notes
may not be there, but I put them in to help keep rhythm. Leave em out
if you like. There’s no real timing in any of this, so you’ll have to
work it out yourself, but its not all that hard. Other than that, i’m
pretty sure (for once) that this is what’s being played.
