author: sesor Subject:Complete guitar tabs to "noise" Date: Tue, 24 Feb 1998 02:08:59 This song was REALLY difficult to tab out since the notes are so blurry with all the reverb and layers of tones. I thought that if I got the "Goodbye" single on CD, it'd be easier to figure out ("Noise" is a b-side) but it's not. I didn't figure anything out that I couldn't off of my tape. Often, Harriet's voice gets in the way but that's what should be referred to as a good problem. Anyhow, I tried my best and if anyone catches any mistakes or thinks there should be some changes, please let the list know or e-mail me privately. Thanks. ******************************************************************** I'm going to segment guitars 1 and 2 since they're the main ones, but I'm going to tab guitars 3 and 4 in their entirety to make things easier for me. Above all guitar 4's parts, I'll put the times in which they occur to avoid any confusion since they're just here and there and not in any real discernible pattern. ******************************************************************** Normal tuning, no capo \ = slide (up or down) to next note < > = harmonic f< >h = false harmonic pm = palm mute ~ = vibrato h = hammeron Guitar 1 intro (0:14) - strum chords straight through, all downstrokes 2 0 2 0 2 0 3 3 3 0 3 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 0 0 X X X X X X 3 3 3 3 3 3 Guitar 2 intro - either turn your tone knob(s) all the way down OR use a wah-wah pedal opened up all the way. Guitar 4 - this guitar just adds some "finishing touches" here and there. Also strums through some chords to add emphasis but I won't tab those. Use delay at (1:05) and (1:18). This part is nearly useless if you don't have "Noise" on CD. I hope these tabs aren't too confusing. Enjoy.
